Tank Sports, Inc was incorporated in 2001, and even though it is only seven years old, it is already growing to be one of the leaders in the sports vehicle industry. Tank�s mission is to produce motor scooters, motor cycles, all terrain vehicles and go karts to sell in a global market with the highest emphasis on quality. While they manufacture and sell many sports vehicles, they are very well known for their scooters and mopeds. Though their website advertises scooters, several of their models do technically count as mopeds. Mopeds are motorized vehicles that have the general size and shape of a bicycle and that have engines that are only around 50cc, which means they have a top speed of around thirty miles per hour and are not legal for most street or any freeway driving.
Their moped like models for 2008 include the Urban 50, the Viaggio, and the Sporty. They feature 2HP engines with top speeds of thirty miles per hour. The Tank moped is also light weight and relatively small. There are slightly larger scooters available, and they are on the line between motor scooters and mopeds. These are the 150cc motor scooters, which include 5 models: Sporty, Viaggo, Touring Deluxe, Racer DS-08, and the Racer TR -18-08. These larger engines can reach 55 miles per hour and have more safety features, which makes them street legal and tips them closer to the motor scooters and away from Tank models. They are also affordably priced and come with good warranties.
